Good afternoon year 3! I hope you have all had a fantastic Christmas and New Years!
This term we are going to be working on a new French topic 'Les animaux' where we will be learning all about different animals and their names in French :)
I have attached a video to introduce you to the topic, so this week I would just like you to watch it and email me to let me know what you are looking forward to learning in this topic the most and anything you may remember from our previous French topic ' J'apprends Le Francais' - hconstant@bishop-ridley.bexley.sch.uk
I will be working from home this week so if you have any questions or anything you are unsure of regarding our new French topic please just email me and I will respond as soon as possible :)
Have a great week! Miss Constant x

PE with MR E
Happy New Year, Year 3.
I hope you had a happy Christmas. This terms PE topic will be football and we will be trying to improve our football skills by playing many different games. Below are a few games you can try at home to help hone your football skills.
One game is to help with your control. I am outside and using a patio curb to help rebound the ball but you can use a normal wall or the bottom of the sofa (please ask permission before you do this). You can use any ball (it does not need to be a football) and if you are feeling daring you could use toilet paper roll. Again please ask permission.
The other video is the Loo Roll challenge. I am using my hands but you can try to keep the loo roll up with your feet and let me know how many keep ups you do. If you want to, you can use your hands but try it on 1 leg to help your balance, a skill that is needed for football.
Another game you can play is to see how many rolled up socks you can kick into a specific target. You can use a bin, a washing machine drum or pick your own target if you try this outside. Please ask permission before you start to kick things indoors and please don't use other people as targets.
Check out the "Take a Break" page for other activities/games to try at home.
Have fun and if you have any questions then please contact me on dedwards@bishop-ridley.bexley.sch.uk
