Now that we have finished our Phase 3 sounds, we will start going back over Phase 2 sounds.  This week we will focus on… ‘s, a, t and p’.

 

Because the children should already be familiar with these sounds, our focus now will be on reading, blending and writing tasks. On the reading tasks, the children should use the sound buttons to sound out each sound then blend the sounds to form the word.

 

Each day will also include a scavenger hunt where the children hunt around the house, garden or neighbourhood if you are out for your daily exercise (or classroom for those in school) for things beginning with the sound for the day.  We have included the Geraldine the Giraffe videos still for them as this may help them with their hunt!  We hope you have fun with this!
