We hear the word quite frequently, but what does it actually mean?

A prayer for today

Today, we have thought about Courage. Could you say your own prayer about hope today? You could say:

Dear God,

Thank you that we can rely on you to help us feel courage when times are difficult.

Help us to think about why we make choices so that we can remember that we are doing something for the right reason, even if it can feel worrying, or too much for us to do on our own.

Please give courage to those people who are working to keep us and our country safe; doctors, nurses, the emergency services and the adults who look after us.

In Jesus' name

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,

Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.
