Maths
Today we are going to look at the properties of 2D shapes and you will be using all the knowledge that you have acquired during your learning last week.: we have added some links to Espresso so that you can recap on last week's learning and then you will need to look at the powerpoint, before deciding which worksheet you feel you will be able to do.
There are some things that we would like to explain to help you identify some of the shapes and words that you might come across in your worksheet today:
- regular (means that all the sides and angles are the same for example an equilateral triangle)
- irregular (means that NOT all the sides and angles of a shape are the same for example a rectangle)
- any 3 sided shape is called a triangle
- any 4 sided shape is called a quadrilateral
- any 5 sided shape is called a pentagon; and
- any 6 sided shape is called a hexagon
