Good morning Year 5!
Fantastic work on commas last week – well done! Today in English we are looking at the prefixes ‘de_, dis_ and mis_’.
Remember that a prefix is a group of letters which comes before a root word to alter its meaning. (The word prefix contains the prefix pre- which means before.)
This week I have given you a couple of PowerPoints to look through to help with your understanding of these prefixes. Then choose one of the sheets to complete based on how confident you feel. Take your time, don’t rush and re-read your answers carefully!
