We are continuing to study the properties of shape.

So far you have begun to identify right angles, recognize that two right angles make a half turn, three make three quarters of a turn and four a complete turn and you have also began to identify whether angles are greater than or less than a right angle.

Today, we are going to look at horizontal and vertical lines and lines of symmetry.

Before we begin our work, let's click on the link to Espresso and look at the first 2 videos to revise what we have learnt so far (at the bottom of this page, there is a link to some optional activities that you can do over the next few days if you would like to do learn more).  After looking at the videos, look at the powerpoint on horizontal and vertical lines and complete the worksheet of your choice. 

You will notice that there are two more videos on the link: you will look at these tomorrow when you learn about perpendicular and parallel lines.
