Homework
This term, our homework will be set on a Friday and will be due in the following Wednesday.
We are trying to prepare the children for secondary school, where they receive daily homework. Please support your child by encouraging them to do their homework and ensure it is submitted in a timely manner.
Our weekly spelling test will be on a Wednesday this term. Please ensure that you learn your spellings each week. These can be found on the spelling page.
Friday 8th May
We will not be setting homework for this weekend as we'd really like you to have a rest before the tests next week. So, please try to relax, get outside to enjoy some fresh air and get an early night on Sunday so that you are feeling refreshed and ready to go!
Remember, we will be running a Year 6 Breakfast Club from Monday-Thursday, which will open at 8.10am at no charge. If you are unable to attend, please ensure that you are at school by 8.30am so that we can administer the tests in a calm and timely manner.
See you on Monday!

Friday 1st May
Well done for completing your mock SATS tests this week! You have all worked very hard and we are so proud of you. There are some more practice papers for you to try for this week's homework, so please complete what has been set for you, and any other areas that you feel like you could benefit from too.
Enjoy the (hopefully) sunny weekend!

Friday 24th April
This week, we'd like you to continue practising for the SATs tests. You will be completing the homework that we have written on the front of your homework book (or told you, if we don't have your homework book!) Of course, you can practise more than one skill if you would like to. As always, please ask if you need help with anything.
Have a peaceful weekend,
Mrs Ellis, Mr Catchpole and Mrs Coles
Friday 17th April
For the next few weeks, different homework will be set for groups of children to support their preparation for SATs. Your homework book will have the subject written on it that we would like you to complete. As always, please speak to your class teacher if you need any help with your learning.
Have a lovely weekend,
Mrs Ellis, Mrs Coles and Mr Catchpole
Easter Revision
Happy holidays! You have all worked so hard this term and deserve a lovely rest over the next few weeks.
However...if you are able to do any revision over the holidays for the SATS at the beginning of May, then some of these assessment packs will be useful for you. Pick the areas that you would like some practice on. Maybe you could note down some of the areas you would like us to revise together when we are back at school.
Have a lovely Easter,
Mrs Ellis, Mr Catchpole and Mrs Coles
