Nursery
Welcome to the 2024 Bishop Ridley Nursery page.
Welcome to the Bishop Ridley Nursery page!
This term our topic is 'Puddles and Rainbows'.
The children will be exploring colour, feelings and emotions through sharing books, ideas and talk, painting, drawing, dancing, instruments and listening to different types of music. They will be exploring changes in the weather and thinking about the weather in different seasons.
We will be welcoming the start of Spring and begin to plant bulbs and seeds in our garden which the children will care for and help to grow throughout the next few months.
In March we will celebrate Mother's Day with an afternoon tea for parents and carers and we will be holding our first 'Reading breakfast' for parents and carers to come and enjoy breakfast with their child and share a book.
We will continue to work on our fine motor skills using tools such as tweezers, scoops and scissors and by threading, mark making and enjoying dough disco, and our gross motor skills by riding bikes and scooters and using large equipment to climb, swing and slide and move in imaginative ways.
The children will learn how they are part of the Bishop Ridley community and will be invited to take part in quiet reflection and prayer time.
Please see our weekly newsletter for information on what we will be exploring to enable you to keep in touch with your child's learning.
We look forward to continuing to share your child's learning journey with you as they continue to develop their skills and independence.
We are happy to help with any questions you might have and thank you for your ongoing support
