Bonne apres-midi year 5! I hope you have all had a great week so far!

This week we are going to continue working on our French topic 'En Famille.' Last week lots of you emailed me over your extended sentences which were great! Well done year 5 :)

This week we are introducing possessives such as 'mon, ma and mes' all of which mean 'my.'

In order to complete this weeks lesson we are going to begin using these possessives correctly.

Mon- you would place at the beginning of your sentences if talking about a singular male member of your family.

Ma- you would place at the beginning on your sentence if talking about a singular female member of your family.

Mes- you would place at the beginning of your sentences when talking about a group of family members.

This week I would like you to practice writing five different sentences using these new possessives. Please also include all of your knowledge from our previous French lessons :) I will post last weeks video again for support at the bottom of the page.

An example of what I am looking for this week would be:
Mon frere s'appelle Lewis. Il est vingt-quatre ans.
(My brother is called Lewis. He is 24 years old.)

It is completely up to you if you would like to email me your sentences, write them on paper and email them to me or just let me know you have completed your work and bring it to me when we eventually return to school. Please could you just email me either way so that I know you have done it.

If you have any questions or are unsure of anything please feel free to email me

- hconstant@bishop-ridley.bexley.sch.uk. Please note I will be in school all of this week so when emailing over your work I may not reply, but please know that I have seen it and if there's anything I really need to discuss with you I will reply :)

Have a great weekend! Miss Constant x
