Happy Friday everyone!!  Well done to all of you for your excellent work in Maths this week.  We have been really impressed with your work on angles, horizontal and vertical lines and parallel and perpendicular lines.  We will be looking at shapes next so I thought we could have some fun today reinforcing all that we have learnt this week!

 

Todays Fun Friday Challenge is an....

 

Angle and Line Scavenger Hunt!!!!  

 

I know how much you enjoy scavenger hunts so your mission if you choose to accept it is in 2 parts.  Each part is to be timed for 10 minutes. 

 

• The first 10 minute scavenger hunt is 'Angles'.  You have 10 minutes to search around your house (or classroom if you are in school today) and find as many right angles, acute angles and obtuse angles as you can.

 

• The second 10 minute scavenger hunt is 'Lines'.  You have 10 minutes to search around your house (or classroom if you are in school today) and find as many parallel and perpendicular pairs of lines as you can in your house (or classroom).

 

You can either just write a tally or count your total of each and write it on a piece of paper.  I have created a Word document if you want to use it to write your results on but this is optional and there if you would like it.  This is just a fun learning task for you so we don't want you to stress about it, just have some fun and focus on the types of angles and lines.  We would love to hear how you get on but you do not need to send any paperwork on this to us!  I have included a couple of fun reminder videos if you need them!  Enjoy!
