Dear Parents,

 

Although we are currently apart, we would like to invite all pupils to participate in virtual challenges for the School Games between now and 12th February. There are two challenges to choose from: the Step Challenge and the Stair Climb Challenge, more details of which can be found below. Your child can choose to participate in one or both of the challenges to help the school community reach its targets. All they would need to do is record their daily totals on the relevant record sheets and send them directly to Mr Edwards every Monday (dedwards@bishop-ridley.bexley.sch.uk). Every fortnight we will send the total number of steps recorded for each challenge to Miss Allsopp at Hurstmere School, which is our School Games Organiser school. Please rest assured that personal data, such as names, will not be sent, just the number of steps walked as a school for each challenge.

 

​For the Step Challenge we are aiming to walk the equivalent of the distance from Lands End to John O'Groats and for the Stair Climb Challenge we aim to complete the number of steps to climb Mount Everest!  We hope you will join us in our efforts to get moving!
