English work week 6
Monday - (11/05/20)
Read through each page of the PowerPoint about the NHS with an adult and discuss the information you have found out. Create a fact file detailing key facts about the NHS – what it is, when it was created, who created it, why it was created etc. You may decorate and add illustrations to your fact file to make it as eye catching as you can.
Tuesday (12/05/20)
Refer back to the PowerPoint you read through in yesterday’s lesson and choose one of the roles mentioned in the PowerPoint e.g. doctors, nurses, paramedics, dental teams, phone operators. On the hospital themed paper provided (or on normal lined or plain paper if you do not have access to a printer), you need to sketch a picture of the chosen person in the blank space at the top of the page and write three facts about their jobs in the lined space at the bottom of the page (remembering to leave a blank line between each fact).
Wednesday (13/05/20)
Complete the same activity as yesterday but choosing a different role within the NHS to focus on from the PowerPoint.
Thursday (14/05/20)
With an adult, read through the Paramedics Comprehension activity (with 1* at the bottom) and discuss the information you have found out. Read each of the related questions carefully and write your answer. Remember to refer back to the text to find your answer and help with the spelling of tricky words. Remember to keep your handwriting nice and neat.
