Friday 5th February
Today is Fresh Air Friday!
There will be no online work set for you this afternoon. Instead, we encourage you to get outside, away from the computer screen and other devices and get some fresh air. Mr Edwards has put some activities on the PE page below if you would like to take part while you are outside. If you can't get outside, please still try to complete some other form of physical activity this afternoon to give your eyes a rest from the screen. Please send us a photo of what you get up to or where you go, we'd love to see how you've spent your afternoon!
This week we are picking Pupil of the Week and our Writer of the Term (someone who has really impressed us with the effort they have put into their writing and the quality of the work they have produced).
Armstrong Class:
Writer of the Term: This term I'm going to choose Charlie as my writer of the term. I have been so impressed with his writing and I have seen a huge improvement over the term. Charlie tries to include new features and techniques we have been learning and I know from Mum that even when he finds it hard, he will persevere and and go back and try and add more detail. Well done Charlie!
Pupil of the Week: Another very busy week packed with lots of learning and fun activities. I've really enjoyed seeing your marble runs coming off the production line; don't worry if you want to finish them over the weekend, just send us a photo and video when you're finished. However, I need to pick just one person this week and I'm going to choose Megan. Megan always sends in work of a very high quality and I can see she takes great pride in her learning. Well done and keep up the great work.
Ennis-Hill Class
Author of the Term: I’ve been so impressed by the quality of the writing you have produced this term and I am so proud of you! I have chosen Emma as my author of the term for her consistent high standard of work, but also for the way she has developed a voice within her writing- I can always tell it’s an Emma piece of work! Keep up the wonderful work!
Pupil of the Week: We’ve had lots of fun this week making marble runs, designing our own machines and writing short stories- all produced some fantastic results! I have chosen Summer as my pupil of the week. I have been impressed by her attitude towards her work and how much effort she has put in to completing her work independently- I’m very proud of you and look forward to seeing what you produce next week.
