English
Good morning Year 5! I hope you had a fantastic half term break! Today in English we will cover the last of the lessons on tenses and look at the future perfect tense.
We have already covered a lot on the perfect tense and you can look back at the last few Thursday lessons to refresh your understanding of the past and present perfect tenses if you need to.
I have given you a couple of useful videos to hopefully explain how to recognise and use the future perfect tense. The PowerPoint introduces the types of questions for your tasks. Then choose one of the sheets to complete based on how confident you feel. Take your time and re-read your answers carefully!
The main things to remember today that will help you are...
- Present perfect = has/have eaten or has/have watched.
- Past perfect = had eaten or had watched.
- With the future perfect tense you add ‘will have eaten’ or ‘will have watched’. It hasn’t happened yet – it will have happened in the future. Remember that the verb (doing word) must be in the past tense (past participle).
