Monday 8th June

Welcome to our new week of home learning: this will be our last week working on our topic of Gods and Mortals.  Next week we will be starting a new exciting topic entitled 'Tremors' which has volcanoes as a main focus.  The accompanying book that works well with this topic is 'The Firework-Maker's Daughter' by Philip Pullman - check out the introduction to the book on the video below (it is not essential that you buy the book, of course, but it would have been the story that we would have read in school, if we were not in lock down)!  It is a lovely story and we will link to at least part of the story with YouTube throughout the topic,!
