Friday 5th February
Pupil of the week and Young Author’s Award
Rosen Class
This week our pupil of the week is Zachary H!!
Even though some days Zachary doesn’t feel like doing his work because he is tired, fed up or maybe his sugars aren’t allowing him to - he still manages to do something everyday, but more often than not he will do ‘all’ of his work. Therefore, we would like to award him as pupil of the week for demonstrating the Christian value of Endurance. Well done Zachary!!
Our young author of this term has to go to Joshua!! The progress that he has made in his writing during this lockdown has been exceptional!! We are so proud of what he has achieved, it is evident that lots of time and effort have gone into improving the presentation of his work and also his letter formation - it is a joy to receive!! Well done Joshua!!
Nightingale Class
This week myself and Ms Clasby would like to choose Harry and Jake to be our Pupils of the Week for our school’s Christian value of endurance. They have both really impressed us with their determination to carry out their work to a high standard, particularly in terms of the extended writing we have been doing in English over the last couple of weeks. Very well done!
This term, myself and Ms Clasby have chosen Scarlett and Ivy to be Young Authors for Nightingale Class. We have been incredibly impressed with their determination to undertake their written work independently, particularly in terms of using their Phonics knowledge to sound out any new or unfamiliar words they may be using. We have also been very pleased with their positive 'have a go' attitude and not being afraid of making any mistakes.
Very well done!

Wellbeing
As it is Children's Mental Health Week, we would like the children to partake in activities this afternoon that will improve their mental wellbeing!! We have named this 'Fresh air Friday!!'. We would like you and your children to enjoy the outdoors and fresh air this afternoon (weather permitting) and carry out your choice of activity/activities there. Please ensure that you evidence this through photos, if at all possible, which you can then send on to your child's teacher. Below is a list of activities that might be fun if you need any ideas :)
