Friday
Good Morning Year 3! Happy New Year from Mrs Ellis! I hope that you all had a lovely Christmas break and that you have been working hard this week with your home-schooling.
Diana Class - remember to email me your work today please kellis@bishop-ridley.bexley.sch.uk I can't wait to see what you have doing.
Maths
Today we are going to continue looking at multiplying a 2-digit number by a 1-digit number. Please watch the teaching video below and choose a worksheet, either Developing-Expected (D-E) or Expected-Greater Depth (E-GD) for more of a challenge.
English
I have also uploaded the Reading Comprehension sheet, as well as adding it as a picture to the webpage in case you have any problems printing.
Science
We are beginning a new Science topic today - Helping Plants to Grow. Watch the teaching video, pausing where needed to complete the activities or watch the other videos that I have attached.
This topic was planned with the intention to do some 'hands-on' investigations. Unfortunately, due to school being closed, some of these activities are going to be less 'hands-on' than I had planned . I will do my best to make the lessons as engaging as possible, by completing the investigations myself and sharing photos of what I have done. IF you would like to (and are able to) complete the investigations at home then you are very welcome to join in.
Next Friday (15th January) I will be using a stick of celery, some food dye and 2 identical flowering plants.
The following Friday (22nd January) I will be using some cress seeds.
If you have any questions, then please do not hesitate to ask.
Thanks, Mrs Ellis
