English homework – due in 27.1.26
This week in English, we have been learning about the key features of writing character descriptions. During next week’s English lessons, the children will be planning, drafting, editing and publishing their own character descriptions of characters from our class text of ‘The Firework Maker’s Daughter’. This week’s homework will provide the children with an opportunity to practise the skills learnt this week ready to independently apply them at school next week.
The children are able to choose a character of their choice from the ones provided and use the word bank to create their own description. To challenge themselves, they can include some of their own vocabulary.
Please can children write straight into their English books, as opposed to on the worksheet.
To do list:
- Read your school book (10 minutes per night)
- Practise your spellings (10 minutes per night)
- Practise your 2, 5, 10, 3, 4 and 8 times tables – using Times Tables Rock Stars
- Complete your English homework into your orange English book (due Tuesday).
