Week 6 - 12/12/25
History project - Due Friday 19th December
This week, as we have come to the end of our History ‘Invasion’ topic, we would like the children to showcase their learning about the Anglo-Saxons and/ or the Vikings.
The children can showcase their learning however they would like including: a piece of writing of their choice, a poster or even a piece of art using any medium (materials) of their choice. Get as creative as you would like!
The winner from each class will be showcased on the homework page on the school website.
Good luck!
Reading:
It is really important that the children are reading as much as possible (preferably daily). Please make a note each time your child has read at least 10 minutes so it goes towards their 100 reads to get a book from the vending machine. Once your child has finished their book, please remind them to put it in their class reading folder box so it can be changed if necessary.
Spellings
No spelling test next week as it is the last day of term. Practise your speed spell ready for the first Friday back (9th January).
Times tables
We will continue to use our maths programme 'Number sense' to prepare the children for the Year 4 multiplication check in June.
Please make sure your child is practising their 3x tables including division facts ready for the next few weeks.
To do list:
- Read your school book (try to aim for at least 10 minutes per day)
- Practise your 3x tables (and division facts) ready for our daily tests next week
- Complete your History project by Friday 19th December
