HALF TERM HW - 27/3/26
Notice:
On the 1st Friday back after half term, it is Art Day. The theme this year is: A Garden of Expression: Cultivating Community Through Art.
We are going to be making recycled garden sculptures: creating flowers, insects, or garden creatures using recycled materials. Therefore, we are going to need recycled items such as:
- large plastic bottles
- a range of plastic trays/ boxes
- egg cartons
- lolly sticks
- cardboard boxes
- unwanted card/ paper
- toilet/ kitchen towel rolls
Please send any items in by Thursday 16th April. Thank you in advance :D
Reading:
It is really important that the children are reading as much as possible (preferably daily). Please make a note each time your child has read at least 10 minutes so it goes towards their 100 reads to get a book from the vending machine. Once your child has finished their book, please remind them to put it in their class reading folder box so it can be changed if necessary.
Times tables
We will continue to use our maths programme 'Number sense' to prepare the children for the Year 4 multiplication check in June.
Please make sure your child is practising their 8x tables including division facts ready for our daily tests after half term.
To do list:
- Read your school book (try to aim for at least 10 minutes per day)
- Practise your 8x tables (and division facts) ready for our daily tests next week
- Practise your speed spell ready for Friday 17th April (2st Friday back)
