The After School Club is managed by Bishop Ridley School and exists to provide high quality after school childcare for Reception pupils up to year 6 on roll at the school.  It provides a range of stimulating and creative activities in a safe environment.

The After School Club offers the following:

  • An environment that is safe, caring and stimulating.
  • A tasty, healthy and nutritious selection of snacks including: fresh fruit and vegetables, freshly prepared sandwiches prepared by a Food Hygiene trained member of staff.  The food provided is not intended as a substitute for a main evening meal.
  • A varied programme of indoor and outdoor activities (weather permitting).
  • High quality care at all times.
  • Experienced and committed staff with relevant training in First Aid, Food Hygiene and Child Protection.
  • A commitment to equal opportunities.

The After School Club staff will ensure that appropriate standards of behaviour, good manners and hygiene are maintained.

Our After School Club will run from 3.20 pm to 6.00 pm, Monday to Friday, from the school hall. It is £10 per day per child.   It will not operate during school holidays or INSET days.

We can offer places on a first come, first served basis.

Only children for whom a Registration Form has been completed and whose place has been confirmed in advance may attend the After School Club.  Please make sure the Registration Form includes emergency contact details and medical information.

On receipt of the Registration Form, the school will compile a list of applicants and advise whether a space is available.

At After School Club, we enjoy sharing a healthy snack together everyday!

We love to be creative, both outside and inside! We play ball games, run around, build assault courses, are creative and imaginative with our After School Club friends!

At After School club we share the values of our school. For our value Compassion - we chose to join the 'Postcards of Kindness' initiative, which is supported by Age UK - we wrote and sent postcards to people in local residential care homes to bring joy, show compassion and spark lively conversations amongst the residents.
