Gardening Club
Gardening club is run every Thursday lunch time by Mrs Charlwood, Mrs Pearce and Mrs White. It is open to years 4, 5 and 6 and the club runs from the beginning of the Spring term until the end of November.
The club will be opened up to children in Reception, Years 1, 2 and 3 from Spring 2012, this separate gardening club session will take place on Thursdays after school from 3:15pm – 4:00pm.
Over the year the children who attend Gardening club have enjoyed taking part in various planting activities. They plant bulbs, flowers and vegetables. Last year the children successfully harvested spring onions, marrows, courgettes, tomatoes, potatoes, runner beans and many more. This produce is then taken home by the children in Gardening club and is also often sold after school or at school fairs to help raise money for the school.
