Friends of Bishop Ridley

We have our own PTA (The Friends of Bishop Ridley), which through fundraising activities raise money for our school.

PTA Disco Letter February 2012

Information from our PTA:-

• We are a group of committed parents and staff
• We meet on average once every half term
• In the previous year alone we raised £6000
• Our most recent project has been providing new playground equipment for the Nursery, Infant and Junior playgrounds; i.e toad stall seats, wooden play trains, jets, wooden pirate ships etc.
• This year we have subsidised money for trips, paying for coaches, visiting theatre groups, wet play toys, lunchtime trolleys, digital cameras, new reading scheme books etc
• Some of the events we have held are: Summer Fair, Christmas Fair, coffee afternoons, children's discos, quiz night, family ice skating event, family discos, Royal Wedding street party for all pupils

We have a notice board up in the front playground corridor window, so watch out for news of future meetings and new events.

We are always looking for new ideas and welcome your suggestions. If you have any suggestions for us, put them in a clearly marked envelope to 'The Friends of Bishop Ridley' and your child's teacher will happily pass them on.
