Fiction, non-fiction and poetry. Fiction - explore features of contrasting genres and plans and write extended stories in a chosen genre. Read a range of modern children’s literature. Non-fiction - read a range of biographies and autobiographies and evaluate the language, style and effectiveness of examples of non-fiction. Learn how to select the appropriate style and form to suit a specific purpose and audience. Poetry - explore personification in poets’ work and use this as a basis for own personification poems. |
