Outlined below is the curriculum your child is following this year. We hope that it will be of use to you when discussing school with your child and looking for ways in which you can support child at home.

Use other punctuation e.g. exclamation marks, question marks and speech marks etc. Join their writing. |
Reading aloud with expression, looking at stories by significant children’s authors and different stories by the same author.
Looking at rhyme and rhythm in poetry.
Developing research skills – using contents and index pages in non-fiction books.
Readingand Spelling of high frequency words. Spelling patterns, words ending in ly and ful.
Writing stories using appropriate punctuation. Structured to have a beginning, middle and end.
